Monaco Yacht Club

We spent two and a half hours in Monaco (a little stop on route to Nice, France). For us, that was enough because it is expensive! Every where we looked there were sleek buildings, stylish people, pricey shops, crazy cars (saw several Ferraris and a McLaren parked outside the casino), full out gardens on roofs, sparkling Mediterranean water and docks with endless shiny yachts and sailboats. Needless to say, we stuck out like a sore thumb with our large backpacks on haha (no lockers or baggage checks at their train station... bummer!).

Monaco is a TINY country (with one famous city, Monte Carlo) on the coastal border of Italy and France. We went straight to the tourist information counter in the station and the girl gave us a map, bus names and a great itinerary to see the most interesting sites (palace of Monaco's royalty, views of harbours, cathedral, indie race track throughout city and famous casino) all in two hours. Here are our pictures...

(Sidenote from Andy: The name is Bond. James Bond.)

After the whirlwind of seeing Monaco, we were both so glad we had stopped in to explore. It's unique, clean and beautiful... all observations stemming from the obvious reality that everyone living there is loaded!
