Napoli con Amici

After our Pompeii morning tour (so cool!), we had met up with friends from the cruise ship, Aneas and Andrea, and decided to spend the afternoon exploring Naples with them. We met Aneas on the first day of the cruise, before Andrea boarded in Santorini, Greece. Aneas has been stationed in Germany as a doctor for the U.S. army. Andrea is originally from the States but is now teaching English at an International School in Namibia, Africa. We enjoyed spending time with these two, engaging in theological dicussions with Aneas and just having friends to laugh with on the cruise!

We started discovering Naples, Italy by eating their very own invention and now worldwide phenomenon.... PIZZA! It all started with the Margarita pizza, using red sauce, white mozerella and green basil (the three colours on the Italian flag). We were told by locals that pizza from Naples is very different from the rest of Italy's pizza because it's thicker and tastes better! They weren't far off... it was delicious!

Afterwards, we just wandered around the Italian streets, took in the views, stopped for pictures, observed locals, tried Napoli coffee and, of course, ate gelato!
